Sentence Listening Console is a browser extension for focused listening practice on Bilibili and YouTube. This policy explains what data the extension handles, why it is handled, and how you can control it.
Stored locally
Point data, learning statistics, and interface preferences are stored in your browser's extension storage.
No sale of personal data
The extension does not sell personal data or use listening records for advertising or user profiling.
Controlled by you
You can export, import, or delete video records, and uninstalling the extension removes its local data.
1. Scope
This policy applies only to the Sentence Listening Console Chrome extension. The Paste365 website that hosts this policy is separate from the extension, and the extension does not read content entered into Paste365.
2. Data handled by the extension
The extension does not require an account and does not actively collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment information. To provide features you choose to use, it handles the following data in the current browser:
- Video information: platform, video ID, segment identifier, title, page URL, and thumbnail URL.
- Listening records: sentence start and end times, color markers, point-data versions, record IDs, sentence IDs, and playback settings.
- Local learning statistics: times opened, actual playback duration, sentence play counts, loop counts, playback speeds, daily summaries, and learning sessions.
- Interface preferences: panel position, visibility, and related feature toggles.
3. Purpose and storage
This data is used only to provide user-initiated point marking, sentence navigation, loop playback, history, import/export, and learning statistics. Persistent data is stored in Chrome local extension storage. One-time instructions, such as opening a particular sentence, are kept briefly in browser session storage.
The current version has no account system, cloud sync, advertising, remote behavioral analytics, or developer-operated data server. The extension does not upload your listening records to a server controlled by the developer.
4. Permissions
- storage: stores point data, preferences, and learning statistics in the current browser.
- Access to Bilibili and YouTube pages: identifies and controls playback of the current video and displays the listening console on supported video pages. The extension does not use this access to read other websites.
5. Third-party services
The extension runs on supported video pages. When history cards are displayed, the browser may request thumbnails directly from Bilibili or YouTube image servers. Those platforms handle their pages and resource requests under their own privacy policies.
The extension does not share listening records with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
6. Retention, security, and your controls
Data remains in the current browser until you delete the related video record, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension. You can export point data to JSON and import compatible backups. You are responsible for protecting exported files.
Because the data is stored on your device, anyone who can access your browser profile or exported files may also be able to access these records. Protect your device and exported files appropriately.
7. Changes to this policy
If accounts, cloud sync, remote analytics, or other features that change data handling are introduced, we will update this policy before those features are released and notify users when required by law. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
About this hosted policy page
This page is hosted on paste365.com, which may use Google Analytics for ordinary website traffic measurement. That website analytics activity is separate from the extension: this page cannot access Chrome extension storage and does not receive your point data or learning records.
